The Sony IMX178 sensor, known for its BSI technology ("back-side-illumination") and exceptional light sensitivity, is one of the most light-sensitive sensors available, comparable to Scientific CMOS (SCMOS) sensors. It performs exceptionally well in low-light conditions, delivering outstanding results.
